The Beav and his pals were like my best friends back in the late 50's and early 60's. Beav and I were the same age and in the same grade on the show at the time, so these guys really were like friends, and still are today. I have watched these shows over and over and over thru the years. For someone my age, it's like a trip back in time in Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine. People who were not alive back then, just can't believe that things really were like this. Believe me, they were. Even the guys from the show carry on the story today. I just love the fact that Frank Bank, who played goofy Lumpy Rutherford, Wally's & Eddie's friend, has a daughter that everyone calls Lumpette. The tag on Frank's car reads "LUMPY" and his daughter's tag reads "LUMPETTE"! Whenever a group my age gets together and starts talking about the show, someone will always ask, Hey, whatever happened to Eddie Haskell? Why, Eddie grew up to be a L.A. motorcycle cop! All of these people will forever be these characters from the show, and their real lives have merged with their character's lives, to become one and the same. And, I think that's why everyone loves them so much. Who didn't want to have a mom & dad like June & Ward Cleaver? One of the best shows ever on TV!the Mighty GATOR (gg32068)http://www.youtube.com/user/gg32068noreply@blogger.com
