The Cosby Show was a television sitcom which aired on NBC from 1984 to 1992. The show focused on the Huxtable family, an upper-middle class African-American family living in Brooklyn, New York.The family consisted of the patriarch, Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable, an obstetrician, and his wife, attorney Clair Huxtable. The Huxtables had five children: Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy.
