Welcome Aboard! The Love Boat aired on the ABC Television Network from 1977-1986. The sitcom was usually set aboard a cruise liner called the Pacific Princess, whose passengers and crew had romantic and funny adventures every week. I remember every Friday night my cosines and aunt and uncle would come on over.
ReplyDeleteUs six kids would watch the Love Boat and Fantasy Island downstairs in our semi-finished basement.
We would get a bag of potato chips in a bowl. If were were over there house we would get onion dip with it and sometimes my Aunt Paula would toast up some bagels in the oven.
Most of the time they came over our house. Sometimes they would sleep over.
I seem to recall watching The Carol Burnett Show too. Maybe that’s what we watched before 1977? I do recall that was on very late.
The adults played cards upstairs in the kitchen.
Those were the days before the feud. I haven’t seen them in over 20 years.
You're right about the line-up mccommas...Love Boat & Fantasy Island.
ReplyDeleteThat was television!
