Barbie Styling Head

Barbie Styling Head was released in 1976. She started the trend when her oversized (child-sized, actually) head was recreated and made into a portable beauty center. The plastic head and neck ended at the top of the shoulders, which turned into a tray to hold all the styling implements. Barbie’s luscious blonde locks could be brushed, curled and styled thanks to the accompanying mini plastic curler (spring-loaded via a rubber band), and clipped into submission with a pink barrette. Her face gleefully awaited a sweep of pink blush, blue eyeshadow, or red lips from her handy pink compact.

The Monkees

The Monkees, running from 1966 to 1968, on NBC, was a sitcom that followed the adventures of the then-fictional pop-rock quartet of the same name.

The stars were Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork. Each of the four was given a different personality to portray: Dolenz the funny one, Nesmith the smart and serious one, Tork the naive one, and Jones the cute one.

Hee Haw: Hee Haw Salutes...

Hee Haw was an television variety show featuring country music and humor with fictional rural Kornfield Kounty as a backdrop. It aired on CBS from 1969–1992.

"Hee Haw Salutes..." : Two or three times in each episode, Hee Haw would salute a selected town (or a guest star's hometown) and announce its population, which was sometimes altered for levity, at which point the entire cast would then 'pop up' from the cornfield, shouting "SAA-LUTE!!"

Wally Gator

Wally Gator was one of the segments from The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series that aired from 1962 to 1963.

Wally was an anthropomorphic alligator who lived in the city zoo. Mr. Twiddles was the zookeeper that kept a close watch on Wally because sometimes he escaped to check out things on the outside.

Second grade is not turning out the way it should for Ramona Quimby. Her dad has lost his job, her mom has found a full-time job, and her big sister Beezus has "reached a difficult age." In her inimitable way, Ramona decides to take charge. She practices TV commercials in hopes of earning a million dollars, but only ends up insulting her teacher and getting into a prickly mess with some burrs. Then she embarks on a campaign to make her father stop smoking. Mr. Quimby manages to hold up under all these strains, but the challenge is on for the whole family to prove their mettle.

Slinky

Slinky is a toy consisting of a helical spring that stretches and can bounce up and down. It can perform a number of tricks, including traveling down a flight of steps end-over-end as it stretches and re-forms itself with the aid of gravity and its own momentum.

The jingle in the Slinky 1962 commercial became the longest-running jingle in advertising history.

The Cosby Show

The Cosby Show was a television sitcom which aired on NBC from 1984 to 1992. The show focused on the Huxtable family, an upper-middle class African-American family living in Brooklyn, New York.

The family consisted of the patriarch, Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable, an obstetrician, and his wife, attorney Clair Huxtable. The Huxtables had five children: Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy.

Besides The Fonz, the gang consisted of Richie Cunningham, Ralph Malph, an anthropomorphic dog, Mr. Cool, and a girl from the future, Cupcake. They traveled through history in a time machine, trying, as narrator Wolfman Jack put it, “...to get back to 1957 Milwaukee."

Chocolate Fever by Robert Kimmel Smith

Chocolate Fever was written by Robert Kimmel Smith in 1978.

Henry Green loved chocolate so much that he ate it at every meal--in the regular ways, like chocolate cookies, chocolate cake, and chocolate milk, and in unusual ways, like chocolate syrup on mashed potatoes and chocolate sprinkles on buttered noodles. His parents loved and indulged him; even his older sister and brother were good to him. One morning he broke out in large, brown, chocolate-smelling spots. The school nurse took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with “Chocolate Fever.” Henry felt afraid, and he ran away. He was picked up by a kind truck driver who was hijacked just as he convinced Henry to call home. What else can go wrong for Henry? Can Chocolate Fever be cured? Will Henry learn to control his chocolate obsession?

Zoobilee Zoo

Zoobilee Zoo was a children's television program featuring costumed performers dressed as animal characters. It originally aired from 1986–1987.

Generally the plot of each episode consisted of the main characters, called Zoobles, encountering difficulties usually common to young children and then learning a moral lesson about dealing with such problems (such as being apprehensive of going to a doctor or learning to appreciate others). Each character had a certain gimmick in his behavior or interests that gave him a unique view on each problem faced (i.e. Bravo Fox was a showman and encouraged the amazingness of acting, Talkatoo Cockatoo enjoyed reading, writing and speech, Van Go Lion enjoyed art, Whazzat Kangaroo encouraged kids to enjoy music and dance, Lookout Bear enjoyed adventuring and travel, and Bill Der Beaver liked to invent and fix stuff).

Yahtzee

Yahtzee is a dice game made by Milton Bradley (now owned by Hasbro), which was first marketed by game entrepreneur Edwin S. Lowe in 1956.

The object of the game is to score the most points by rolling five dice to make certain combinations. The dice can be rolled up to three times in a turn to try to make one of the thirteen possible scoring combinations. A game of Yahtzee consists of thirteen rounds during which the player chooses which scoring combination is to be used in that round. Once a combination has been used in the game, it cannot be used again.

The scoring combinations have varying point values, some of which are fixed values and others of which have the cumulative value of the dice. A Yahtzee is five-of-a-kind and holds the game's highest point value of 50.

Bosom Buddies

Bosom Buddies was a sitcom starring Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari which aired on ABC from 1980 to 1982.

After their own apartment is demolished, two men disguise themselves as women in order to live in the women-only Susan B. Anthony Hotel because of the dirt cheap rent. Kip Wilson (Tom Hanks) is originally skeptical of the plan, but after meeting knock-out resident model/dancer/nurse Sonny Lumet (Donna Dixon), he ends up convincing aspiring writer Henry Desmond (Peter Scolari) that the experience will make a great book.
