1980's Friendship Pins and Bracelets

If you were a girl during the 1980’s, and you had friends, you probably were given friendship pins and bracelets. . .and, more than likely, you created a multitude of your own and gave them away to all of your girlfriends as well.

If you were a proud recipient of a coveted friendship pin, you proudly displayed it (along with every other friendship pin that you received) on your tennis shoes, attaching them to your shoe laces. Whether you wore leather hi-top Reeboks, kangaroos, jazz shoes or a worn out pair of Chuck Taylor’s, if you had friends, you had pins on your shoes.

1980's Clear/Transparent Phone

Does anyone else remember these clear/transparent phones that were popular in the 80's? I had one when I was a teenager and I remember that it lit up when it rang. It sure brings back a lot of good memories of spending hours on the phone!

Sha Na Na "Those Magic Changes"

"Those Magic Changes" was a pop song from the 1978 musical Grease which was performed by Sha Na Na in the film version.

Tupperware Popsicle Molds

These 1970's popsicle molds, made by Tupperware, were used weekly in our home when I was a kid. Just fill the cups with any flavored kool-aid or juice, put the lids on, and freeze them. Once their frozen, pop the lid off to free your popsicle and enjoy! Brings back great memories from my childhood!

Raggedy Ann and Andy Lunch Box

This is a 1973 embossed metal Raggedy Ann and Andy lunch box and plastic thermos. Both were made by Aladdin Industries Incorporated.

"A Rankin Bass Production" bumper

Here is a short "A Rankin Bass Production" bumper that was shown right before one of their seasonal television specials, including Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Frosty the Snowman.

Walt Disney World Lunch Box

This embossed Walt Disney World metal lunch box is exactly like the one I carried to school when I was a kid. It features my favorite Disney characters as well as stylized renderings of Walt Disney World attractions - including the jungle cruise, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, the monorail, and the Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse. The back of the box pictures the Country Bear Jamboree. What great memories!!

Donald Duck Stool

I don't know a lot about this stool but I had one just like it when I was a child. In doing a little research, I've found that it most likely dates from the late 1950's to the early 1960's. It had a padded top that was covered in vinyl. As you can see, the Donald Duck graphic was large and very colorful.
